  1. anyone use this to encode SVCD?
i am wondering what settings you use as far as bitrate, etc
i tried to convert an 45min DV clip capped in Adobe premire and it
came out to like 900 MB, so i am wondering what are the best settings
to bring the mpg down to a normal, burnable size
    thanks

  2. just try std settings 2 pass VBR 300/1500/2450 or very close to these and you should get a lot better than 900mb ... why use this and not tmpgenc? is it faster?? better quality? more flexible?

  3. the main reason i use it is because i can edit the commericals out in adobe premiere, which i use to cap, and canopus plugs into premiere so i can go straight from there to procoder...but procoder seems to be much slower, so i am trying to figure out a better way.

Procorder does a great job but slow as anything .. the encoder in premiere 6.5 (main concept) w/ the upgrade service pack .. does a great job also and a heck of lot faster ..
