svcd - vcd, tmpeg audio erros

my dvd player wont play SVCD and im trying to code the file to a vcd, have encoded to avi using dvd2avi. Can open the video track in tmpeg but when I try the audio I get the following error :

tmpg caused an error at LMPGAD.AX

I have tried changing the vfi plug in settings as suggested in this site but still get the above error.

can anyone help ?

Shuggy, don't drop down to VCD, it is low resolution, MPG1 and generally poor quality. I convert my SVCDs to Half-D1 files.

If you use TMPGEnc, go here: http://www.kvcd.net/dvd-models

Grab the 100% DVD compliant Half-D1 template for TMPGEnc and you should have no troubles.
