K, I have a .vob that's 5 gigs..just a big over 1 dvd. I put it through ffmpeg, said use default hi-bitrate NTSC DVD settings, checked post process, author as DVD with VIDEO_TS folder. ffmpeg creates a .m2v and a .mp2 file for the audio/video, and that's fine, but then it doesn't author right, it just gives me a 600k video ts folder and since i didn't check keep elementary streams it deleted them too. So next time i kept the streams, tried mux as DVD and author as VIDEO_TS, no go there either......any ideas? Anyone get .vob's successfully converted to a .img to burn with ffmpeg?

no i didn't, will that solve my problem, is it that simple? i am a moron geez, what exactly is that option doing? Using mplayer to help encode/decode? what it 42 is using mplayer to encode, can i run ffmpeg to encode at the same time? i'm assuming mplayer allows multiple copies of itself to be run.....but that's an assumption.......
