  1. im trying to extract the audio from an mpeg file i have however there seems to be one frame of the audio that cant be 'decoded'. i loaded this file into tmpgenc and it stops demuxing when it gets to the bad mpeg audio frame. i loaded it into virtualdub and it stopped at the same spot saying it couldnt decode the audio mpeg frame. i scaned the video stream for errors and it was clean. this isnt the first time ive had this problem. ive had this problem with many movies before and never found a solution and now i REALLY want to edit this file and im getting so frsutrated that i cannot find a solution. please somebody help me! thanks so much in advance!!!

  3. Best I can tell you is try the MPEG-Corrector listed in the Tools section of this site. I'm having a similar problem, but mine is with the video portion, not the audio portion. MPEG-Corrector did not work for me, but it might in your case. Good luck!

  4. thank you for the reply. i took a look at that program and tried it even though it seemed apparent that it only fixed the header of an mpeg file. in any case it did not work, but thank you. this seems odd to me as many movies seem to have this issue...somebody must know how to correct this audio stream! please!
