I have a problem making PAL DVD's from NTSC film source. This is what I do:
o Get 24 fps AVI
o Save audio out as a .wav
o Use MediaPipes to change the video framerate to 25 fps
o Use 'WavWorks' to speed up the audio.
When I examine the 25 fps mpeg2 and the speeded up audio they are the same size - accurate to within 1/100th of a second. But when I combine them the audio and video are out of sync!![]()
Sync is lost immediately - this isn't a gradual drift - does anyone know what's going on? Even better - how to fix it...

I also made DVD-Rs of my 24 FPS AVIs but why do you change the FPS to 25 and author a PAL DVD????
I am sure that the soundtrack of your 24 FPS AVIs also is in english??!!!
So reencode the 24 FPS Avi in FFmpgX at 24 FPS and check the 2:3 Pulldown option in the options window. You will receive a (29.97) FPS movie which you can import in DVD SP and it will be played back at 24 FPS, so Video and audio will be in sync.
After this author in DVD SP a NTSC!! DVD which also will be played back in your PAL DVD player!
So, ... forget PAL if you have english AVIs playing at 24 FPS!
Here's a thread I started a time ago and some users gave me good instructions to use the 2:3 Pulldown in FFmpgX! :
