I have a Toshiba SD-220e chipped for multi-region and have tried many different VCDs (and SVCDs) and they are all out of sync, with the exception of cartoons which are fine. The time between action and sound varies between 5seconds and a fraction of a second. I have tried different media and burning at different speeds but it made no difference. The source files are fine and are in sync when I play them on my PC (using Mediaplayer or PowerDVD). Whats strange is the fact that cartoons are in sync? Any ideas? The player is still under warranty, so I could take it back. Thanks in advance.

I have a Tosh SD210e and my SVCDs used to play out of sync despite firmware upgrade when using menu in Nero.Without menu played fine.Very frustrating! Then I found Ulead DVD Movie Factory which played in sync with menus.I'm now using Movie Factory 2 authoring DVDs so I don't use SVCD much anymore.Give DVDMF2 a try. There is a full working demo.
