    I'm about to upgrade to a Pentium 4, and I heard a rumour that a P4 can't rip a DVD into a DivX

    Does anyone have a suggestion??
    Or even better, does anyone own a P4 and have NO problems ripping .. I'd appreciate any info

    I don't see why not. You need a DVD-ROM drive to rip DVD.

    I'm not sure where you heard this but it's simply not true I'd get an Tbird over the P4, but that's me...
