    I should have known better, but I frameserved a Divx at 23.976 to Tmpgenc but with 29.97fps template, VCD. Thus the choppy video.

    Can I demux and magically get my .M2V down to 23.976 and run pulldown somehow, without having to reencode the whole movie????

    I'm afraid not. TMPGEnc seems to actually convert framerates by adding or dropping duplicate frames. If this is the case (which the "choppy" video suggests) then I'm afraid you just have to re-encode it.

    Yep, have to re-encode (just use the film template or make sure that the 2:3 pulldown box enabled in TMPGenc). Sorry
