I want to take a divx to DVD. I have most of it figured out except for one thing. What should I use for encode mode in TMPGenc? The file is 23.976 fps.
Non interlace should be progressive and yield the best quality? I really dont know.
Interlace i would think will lower the quality.
Somebody else suggested 3:2 pulldown on playback. What exactly does this do? Wouldnt this defeat the purpose of HDTVs and progressive scan DVD players?
I am making this for a friend who has a 16:9 tv and myself who has a 4:3 tv

Only choose interlace if your source is interlaced and divx are usually never interlaced. Use 3:2 pulldown when playback and it will be play backed at 29,97 on your dvd player and tv, if you have a progressive dvd player and play on a progressive tv it will be 24 fps.
