    Sony recall all the DRU500A model's to do a firm wear update to make DVD-R burn at 4X. My question I have one on order and want to know with the newest version of nero 5.5.10.7 will DRU500X work or will I have to wait for another update from NERO? Thanks

    Works greate using 1.0G and Nero 5.5.10.7.b. Everthing burn so far both video and data came out very well! No glitches.

    I also have the 'g' firmware level of the Sony DRU500a, and Nero 5.5.10.7b. I was able to successfully burn a Data DVD using the UDF option on Nero. If I used the ISO option, the resulting DVD could not be read by the drive.
    Interesting to note that the UDF burned data dvd could not be read by a friend's DVD drive, a Hitachi DVD-ROM CD-S200.
