I was just wondering what the Optimum number of passes is, when using DVD2SVCD, CCE with a VBR. At what point is the small difference in quality not worth the extra time encountered? I realise this is a very open ended thing, and usually down to the individuals personal taste and so I would be grateful to hear from everyones opinions. If any one has any idea as to the % increase in quality per pass or any other quantitative information I would be most grateful!

In my case, 4 Pass vbr with CCE.
Anything more is a total waste of time.
You could and can get away with just 2 pass, but i always use 4 pass. -
Anything more than 3 passes is a waste of time, by the time you get to the 4th pass you' re talking of 1% differences. Is that worth it?
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons. -
According to the CCE manual the maximum gain is achieved somewhere between the 3rd and 4th pass, so anything more than this is probably useless.

And general user feedback on this site confirms what Adam said. Some can't tell a 4 pass from a 3 pass. If you have time or a fast computer go for the gold.
