I am wondering if anyone can give me info on whether either of these players are region free or has a hack for region free? I am thinking of buying one of them as they are only $199 in Australia which is cheap!!

These players are mfg by JNL and are badged HAIER for Retravision stores in Australia. There are codes for MacroVision as well as regions. I am waiting to get one from my local dealer. I will post the codes when I get mine.

My sister just got a Haier the other day. The store provided the codes (she did have to go back and get them )

1. Open tray
2. Press intro on remote
3. Enter: 20111 - For Zone 1
20112 - For Zone 2
20113 - For Zone 3
20114 - For Zone 4, etc
Use 20110 for zone free and all should be fine.
4. Press Enter on remote and that should be done.
