    If the source is MPEG-1, use any version of VirtualDUB and encode to DIVx from there. Guides are available in the guides section.

    There may be some problems if your source is MPEG-2 (SVCD) especially if the MPEG-2 encoding was not done according to standards (i.e. your DVD player may play them, but VirtualDUB will not open them).
    The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
