  1. when I make svcd standard - I see it fine on the PC (media player) and through the burned cd in the home DVD player (pioneer 355)
Once I make the video in 2500 kbps and higher bitrate, I can see it good in the window media player, but I get some distorations in the burned cd/rw while playing it in th PC and in the home DVD player.
I am using NERO for burning.
Any idea of what is wrong?

  2. some stand alone DVD players have 2x dvd drives so you can't have highter than the standard SVCD bitrate

  3. Check the DVD players page to the left. Most standalones can't play x(S)VCDs w/ bitrates above 2800kbit/s. Sometimes thou a player can play MPEG1 files at a higher bitrate than MPEG2 files, so it's worth checking.
