here is the link about the new version 4.5
The 30 days trial 4.5 file is named stpRNM450e_STPD.exe (9M)
The upgrade file to 4.5 is named stprnm450v.exe (15M)
Here is the readme file included in the 30 days trial
------------------------------------------------------------------------

with information presented here, the information in this README.TXT file
should be considered correct and the most recent.

How to use this document
------------------------

To print README.TXT, open it in Notepad, WordPad, or another word
processor. Then select the entire document and format the text in
10-point Courier font before printing.
-------------------------------------
The following subjects are discussed:
-------------------------------------
1. Reading Audio Discs
2. Delay After Cancel
3. Copying CDs
4. Mastering Limitations
5. Conflicts with Easy CD Creator 4
6. Enable DMA to Reduce Buffer Underruns
7. Media Compatibility
8. Windows 98/ME does not read multi-session DVDs properly
9. Possible DVD data loss with Windows 2000/XP
1. Reading Audio Discs
------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you create an Audio CD using a CD-RW disc, you will only be able to
play this disc on Multi-Read capable CD players. For best results, it
is recommended that Audio CDs be created using CD-R media.
For DVD players, please consult your DVD Owner's Manual in order to
determine which type of media will provide the best results.
2. Delay After Cancel
------------------------------------------------------------------------
A delay of a few seconds to several minutes may result after canceling
an operation. The length of delay will depend upon the drive model,
type of media used, and the point at which the operation was cancelled.
3. Copying CDs
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Copying Audio CDs may take longer than copying Data CDs on some models of
drives. This will vary between models, and can be affected by the quality
of the source media.
4. Mastering Limitations
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stomp RecordNow MAX can record files that contain file names up to
110 characters in length. This maximum length is a limitation of the
recording file system, and cannot be exceeded.
5. Conflicts with Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4
------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are using Stomp RecordNow MAX on a system containing Windows 2000 and Adaptec
Easy CD Creator 4, you may experience a conflict. You will not encounter this
problem if your version of Adaptec software is v4.02 or greater.
6. Enable DMA to Reduce Buffer Underruns
------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you experience buffer underruns, try enabling DMA (Direct Memory
Access) on your computer. See your computer's documentation for
instructions on how to do this.
7. Media Compatibility
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some consumer disc players cannot read CD-R or CD-RW media.
If you are experiencing problems reading certain types of media,
please check your player's documentation to ensure that your
device is capable of reading the media.
8. Windows 98/ME does not read multi-session DVDs properly
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Windows 98/ME systems can only read the first session recorded to an
appendable DVD disc. If you open an appendable
DVD on a Windows 98/ME system and some files appear to be missing, try
opening the disc on a computer running a different operating system.
9. Possible DVD data loss with Windows 2000/XP
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stomp RecordNow MAX allows you to make multiple recordings to a single DVD.
However, a serious problem can occur on Windows 2000 and XP systems
once the total amount of data or music recorded during multiple jobs
exceeds 4 GB. Once the total amount of data or music exceeds 4 GB,
only the first recording job placed on the disc will be visible to
your computer. This problem does not affect single recording jobs
larger than 4 GB.
Microsoft has been working to fix this problem. For more information,
please visit the Microsoft support center at
http://support.microsoft.com and search for document Q329112. -
