  1. I read a post about how I can copy my DVD movie onto a DVD-R disc. It stated that I should use Nero to do this. He stated that I should use the icon "DVD-Rom UDF" and drag the the VIDEO_TS files over to the left side and burn using the DVD-Rom UDF Function at 1.02. My problem is every time I drag these VIDEO_TS files over to the left to burn they are bigger than the 450 MB that Nero will let me burn? How I cut the file size down to 450MB or less so I can burn the files onto a blank DVD-R?

    I'm lost on this one

    Thanks

  2. ??? First, DVD-Rs hold 4.7GB (or 4.3GB depending on how you look at it) of data. 450MB is smaller than a 74min CDR. It sounds like you want to backup your DVD to DVD-R. Unlike a CD you CAN NOT just drag and drop the files. Take a look at:

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=109346

    There are basically three options:

    1) DVD is layer1/single layer/DVD-5. Use DVD Decypter to make a complete back up.

    2) DVD is layer2/dual layer/DVD-9. BUT the 'main movie' is less than 4.7GB. Extract main movie and burn to DVDR but lose menus/extras.

    3) DVD is layer2/dual laye/DVD-9. And main movie is larger than 4.7GB. Either spilt to 2 DVDRs or re-encode movie at lower bitrate (you can choose to keep or remove the menus/extras).

  3. get this program.

    www.dvd2one.com

It will transcode your dvd rip to 4.36gb so it will fit onto one disc. I would d/l the latest Nero as it supposedly has fixxed DVD compatability. I have not confirmed this yet.
