my prob is : i re-encoded a m2v that was to big for a 4 gb dvd and after it was done re-encoding ( to re-encode i used FFMPEGX) i used bit timcode on it. still outta sync , what do you guys suggest i try? ive done pleanty of searching and have asked questions on other boards. give me your thoughts. Bits won't fix any sync problems you may have. If you want your file to be in sync then make sure you have the QuickTime MPEG-2 component installed and make sure you have the "QT decode" option checked in ffmpegX under the options tab.

hey man i appreciate the post but i got the component mpeg2 from apple and im still having sync probs , also it changes my widcreeen original to a box sort of . can you give me a step by step walk-thru of how i encode my original m2v file to something smaller to fit dvdr 4gb . my original m2v is 4.11 and my ac3 is around 400 mb. comes out too large . soory im new . please help.
