  1. I have a divx avi, I have not encoded it to vcd or svcd yet. The clip is
kinda dark. How can a make the clip brighter before encoding to vcd or svcd? Or can this be done during encoding to vcd or svcd?

  2. If you use tmpgenc you can go to SETTINGS -> ADVANCED and SIMPLE COLOR CORRECTION and change the BRIGHTNESS....I like using 30...I get good results with that..it will look a little light in tmpgenc but will look great on your tv...

  5. If the DivX file is from an original DVD, then the gamma is off, not the brightness. Upping the brightness will wash out the colors. Changing the gamma on your video drivers from 1.0 to 1.2 or 1.3 would fix it. You could also encode the gamma change in the file on recompression, but that's up to you.

  6. Hey Valnar

    a couple of things....

I have never lost color using the brightness....BUT in any case

Where would I get the video drivers for gamma? I will check that out.

Actually one more thing..how would you change the gamma in tmpgenc..well I know how to change it but how does that affect the overall movie?

    thanks
