I have an xvid movie as an avi file. It is in 1 part, so to convert it to SVCD, i opened it up in Vdub, extracted the audio as 2 parts. Then i opened up TMPGEnc and encoded the video from the avi file and the wav files into 2 files. The result was 2 mpegs. The first mpeg works perfectly. The 2nd mpeg has no sound.

The only differences i can think of are:
1. The first mpeg has a bitrate of 1900, while the second (the one with no sound) has a bitrate of 2150 (its a bit shorter so i went for a higher bitrate).
2. the first mpeg file crashes my WM9, but plays fine in powerdvd.
3. the 2nd mpeg plays fine in Wm9 minus the sound, also the original AVI file plays fine in WM9

any ideas?
