Hi all,
I’m trying to convert a VBR Divx movie (Black Hawk Down; 23,976), but encountered some problems.
I used VirtualDub to extract the sound (mpeg layer-3) to a WAV file. When opening the file a got the VBR message but as far as I know I can just ignore that. After doing this, I use VirtualDub as my “frame server” for the subtitles.
In Tmpeg I use Toolame for audio layer 2.
I use the movie.vdr.avi file, which the VirtualDub frame server makes, as my Video source and the WAV file as my audio source. First I laod the video source and then the audio source but at that point Tmpeg freezes and doesn’t do anything anymore.
Could this be due to the VBR or is it my processor? Or should I first convert the VBR movie to a CBR movie? It worked just fine with other movies.
Thanks
Rob![]()
