i converted a movie in .AVI format to .SVCD format using TMPGEnc and
came out really good, sound and picture quality both.
But when i cut it using TMPGEnc to fit it on 2 cd's the last 40- 50 seconds
of the movie the sound goes out.
I have try everything i can think of, but nothing seems to fix this problem
PLEASE!!!!!! help!!!!!!!

Alternatively cut the avi in virtualdub before encoding, then encode the 2 individual parts of the avi file.

Use bbMPEG. Its freeware. Get it here:
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/avi2mpg2.html
Follow the guide here: http://www.vcdhelp.com/bbmpegedit.htm
Looks difficult, but its not. It works too.

it's very simple. when you split it use SVCD MPEG2 (VBR) instead of MPEG2 (VBR) that'll fix your problem. i have that problem for a long time myself
