  1. I downloaded ac3fix and extracted it to a folder in "my documents". Can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to navigate to this file in dos(and what to do once I get there)? I placed my corrupted "audio.ac3" file in the folder with the ac3fix files. Now I just need help on how to use it. I am using windows XP. Thanks!(I have extracted audio and converted it successfully with headac3he before, but on this particular movie headac3he gave warning that there was corrupt data.)

This worked for me and I have a Compaq computer. If you have another computer let say a Sony. Then I think you will not find Compaq in C:\Documents and Settings, you will find C:\Documents and Settings\Sony
Just extract all files to the folder.

1.Extract all files to C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq (your computer)

2.Open up a dos prompt by going to Start, Programs, MS DOS Prompt

3.Put your AC3 file in the same folder as the ac3fix (C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq)

4.Type in the words like in the picture below:

5.After that.just press enter and it will look something like this:

And tell me if it worked.
