  1. I need help, every time i import a SVCD ready mpeg2 files in MF2, it tends to always reencode the movie. do you know how to stop it from doing it

    Make sure the audio portion is encoded at 48kHz. If it is recorded at 44kHz Movie Factory will reencode. If this is the case you can demux the file with TMPG and then convert the audio portion to 48kHz and then remux it.

    Also, you have to make sure the video portion is set to one of the DVD standard formats.. 352x480, 702x480, or 720x480. You can do this my simply changing the headers with DVDPatcher. After you create the final VOB files with MovieFactory you can change the headers back to what they were originally (probably 480x480 for SVCD).

    I don't have much experience with making SVCD's with Ulead MF2. All I can say is make sure the files are in standard SVCD format. The video should be 480x480 and the audio should be 44kHz. There is also a checkbox in the MF2 settings which tells MF2 NOT to reencode compliant files. Make sure you have that set properly. I believe the default setting is the proper one but make sure you it hasn't changed.
