I have burned more than a few coasters in my experimentation with VCDs so far! This is of course due to my own ignorance
I have finally succeeded in burning one that actually works in my standalone DVD player.
Now that I've done that, I want the flexibility of being able to view it on my pc also. I believe it is the AVSEQ01 file that I have to view??
If so, I have been trying to view it from the VCD but WMP 9 just locks up and the CD Rom spins away...forever. I've also tried to view it with NVDVD but the same thing happens.
I'm probably doing something wrong. Any advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

PowerDVD and WinDVD should recognize both VCD and SVCD for what they are, and play them just like a DVD. Once you've authored a (S)VCD, you shouldn't mess whith the files on it, any more than you mess with the VOB files on a DVD.
On my system WinDVD doesn't autoplay a VCD, but it's just to hit "Play" and off it goes!
