Problem with Adobe Premiere 6.0 then trying to export to vid

Hello can some one help me with this problem ? How can I record strait on to video tape from the timeline ? I have tried to do it this way. Export timeline/print to video but it did not work. The button under print to video (export to tape) is checked and I cant use it. Is this why its not working ? Thank you for your help in advance.

I had this same problem, but I figured it out. You first have to tell the program how long of a black "leader" you want to put in front of the taped portion you're sending back to your camera. Then, when the black leader shows on your monitor, you have to manually put your camera in the "record" mode. I'm surprised that the program doesn't do this for you, but I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too, after all.
