I just found out about KVCDs and looked around at kvcd.net, and I was wondering if there were any templates, guides, or tips that are available so that I could experiment with the KVCD format.

    Thanks,

If you are talking mainly the templates at www.kvcd.net. I suspect the answer will be, if you have any sort of "Mac" program that can use TMPGenc templates then yes, otherwise, no. To be sure, though, I would contact Kwag, through his own discussion forums at www.kvcd.net.

I'll be the first to fully admit i know jack crap about MAC.. but kwags templates are just settings for encoding an MPEG file.. so i would ASSUME that any encoder that allows you to modify said settings would be able to output KVCD. I just posted the same question regarding MainConcept being able to do the same.. so hopefully i can get the settings.. if i do, then they should be able to be used across the board when it comes to any MPEG encoder.

  4. If the encoder has provisions to allow for GOP changes and custom matrix changes, then it can use KVCD parameters. I believe that ffmpeg does allow this. Maybe it has to be recompiled with the KVCD GOP and matrix.

  5. This may be a dumb question but can you just input the KVCD settings manually (into ffmpegX). If so, where can I find the settings to use?
