TMPG Crashes On 4gig file.

Hi All,

Everytime I try and put a 4.3Gig M2V file into TMPG it locks up. In the Task manager it says it is not responding. Does anyone know a fix for this or has anyone had the same problem?

how long did you wait ? give it some time ..

I waited about 10mins but like I said the task manager said the "Program is not Responding".I read in the Environment settings window that TMPG will not accept AVI files of over 2gig so it may also apply to .m2v files..hmmm. I am currently tring to chop it into smaller sizes to see what happens.

i have loaded huge avi's into tmpgenc (like more than 80gig) with no problems .. where does it say it can not load more than 2gig files ?

anyway -- just frame serve your m2v file with dvd2avi

or

check Environment settings VFAPI and bump up your mpeg2 decoder

One way is to split the File to smaller parts, it will not just help you with your problem, it will also increase the converting speed
