    Everytime I try to open an .avi captured with Pinnacle 8.3 I get this error.



    The video came from my DV camcorder at full quality. I'm running Windows XP Pro. Please help.

    how?

    plus, I tried to convert with the non-canopus converter (1 to 2) and it said it could not do it because it wasn't a type 1. why won't vdub open either type?

    I actually downloaded some codec pack.. i think it was the acemegacodec pac xp. I then installed the MainConcept DV Codec. That's all it took.
