Hey guys,
I have used both Pioneer and Princo DVD-Rs, and I find that Princo's media really are cheap for a reason. In price and quality.
Low downs...
Princo: Cheap price, but crappy media. Always causes DVD video glitchs close to the end of the movie. Video/Data above 4GB has data glitches no matter what you use to verify with. Also quality is NOT consistant. One disk may be more glitchy than another burned exactly the same way.
Pioneer: Really expensive, but data is protected very well. The underside of the DVD-R edges are very clean, and the same quality as the inner parts of the disk. Princo disks have an outer edge which is really poor in quality (Read above about Princo).
Any comments about other DVD-R/DVD-RW media you have tried? Post it!

I only use Ritek G3's.
Under $1 each and compatibility is superb. I've burned dozens of movies with no playback errors or coasters.

hi,
I cannot comment on the Cheap MEdia as i have never used it so far. I use Verbatim+RW for testing and Memorex and TDK so for as i good Good deals on those from COMPusa for $1 each for 20 TDK and 3 Memorex. So i use them right now. Once i use all of them i may try some cheap Media but if i get Deals like this Them Probobly i will use branded media. -
I usually use datawrite or white label dvd-rw for video, as they play fine on my standalone. They're under £1 each & I can always re-use them.
I have some really cheap bulkpaq disks, but don't/can't use them for video but they're fine for data. -
Where can i get the ritek G3's for under $1 each in a 50 pack? I want to try them. I use princo's and i do get problems at the end of least 1 of every 12 movies.

Princos are junkola. I've burned dozens of movies and peoples acting reels and haven't found a player that supports -R media that has any playback problems at all.
