  1. Will a Playstation 2 play VCDs? I have heard they are not the greatest DVD players and the VCD I tried did not work. Is there a certain brand of media I should use or a certain program? Or does this thing just not play VCDs at all? I use Imation 80min 12x CDRs and Nero 5.5.0.4.

  8. The PS2 does not play VCDs.

It doesn't have the software to do it so a mod chip isn't going to change this.

  10. Hey, speaking of the modchip that allows you to play DVDs from all regions, does anyone know where I can find one that works on a US/NTSC PlayStation 2? The only DVD-modchips I can find will only work on PAL PlayStation 2s.
