Hi all, I am fairly new to making VCD's. I am mainly intrested in making Anime ones, however i have noticed that on some (most) the subtitles are out of the screen (i.e. you cant read them). Does anyone know how to resize the mpeg or another way of making sure that I can always see the subs correctly? Thanks!

use vobsub and virtualdub
you'll see a vobsub filter in the video filters of virtualdub. -
hi
try these settings with panasonic mpeg encoder, fansubbed anime is in PAL so you have to make it in 320 x 240 so its compliant with nero and also helps so it doesnt artifact which I get a lot in TMPG. anyway under special setting set black to top 10, bottom 15, left and reight 5. this gives you boarders on where its usually cropped for TV.
save your settings, encode and just burn with nero, works great on samurai deeper kyo anyway but should be the same on all since it the TV I think that messes it up >_<
