DVD-R skipping between chapters on standalone DVD player

Can anybody help me. I have burn my DVD-R (ripped from original using ifoedit) to Intenso DVD-R media. My standalone Thomson DVD player play it well, but sometimes movie is skipping to another chapter, not ended previous one. When I forward back 2x and play it again it plays all chapter. Sometimes it skips 5 times during movie. Sometimes 10 times. Can be not so good media ? When I have burned my personal movie using DVDIt to Gigamaster DVD-R or Sony DVD-R it plays well.

I have a nice pile of choice dvdr's that do the same!! they work fine in my player but asoon as they go into my mothers cyberhome they just skip about all over the place GRRRRR so I put it down to disks, low end of the market disks have trouble reading in most stand alone players, I recomend trying a slightly better disk like E-perfomance or traxdata as these work everytime or if U want a cheaper disk see if U can get hold of the dvdmaster disks that are unbranded traxdata using the ritec dye or better still a cheaper disk called ice white tops (TDK).

yeah, most likely it's your media. I'm not going to promote another brand, because I use the absolute cheapest I can find, figuring that if one out of ten is bad, I'm still saving money. I get mine off eBay for ~.55 apiece from this woman in L.A., and I couldn't be happier.
