  1. Hey

I recently purchased a Thomson DTH210U and was attracted to its ability to play VCDs. I download the new Ali G film through Kazaa and have been having trouble playing the film through my DVD. I converted it to MPEG-1 and burnt it to a CD-RW, but it simply refuses to work. Is it because of the CD-RW or something else?

Also, I bought a box of 20 TDK CDRs and they refuse to work in my PC! Does anyone know the reason for this?

Finally, does it make a difference if I use 74 or 80 minutes disks, as it says in the manual I should (as a preference) use 74 mins. And finally, does finalising the disk help?

Sorry for all the newbie qs...

Don't you have to do this before the disk will play? I've never done one without finalizing it so pardon me if I'm wrong....

  4. It sounds to me like you just burnt the mpeg to disc as data. You have to author as a VCD for it to play in the vast majority of DVD players. See the how to author guides.
