I have dozens of home videos professionally converted to DVDs with the Video_TS format. I cannot use those DVDs on MGI Video Wave movie making software because the format cannot be opened. Apparently, I need to convert the Video_TS format to AVI or MPEG. How do you do that?

I believe DVD2AVI should do what you are looking for....
it is in the tools section here on this site.
