  1. I'm a newb here, but have been using the site for some time now. Tremendous resource. I have a Dazzle Digital Video Creator 100(USB), that captures to (720X480)DVD resolution. I'm using MovieStar 5(that comes with it) to caputre from a VCR. It captures into .mzl, and then you render that(using the same program) into .mpg. It looks great, without any distortion on the computer. Then I burn it to a DVD using my Sony DRU-500A. I've used InstantCD+DVD, and DVD Complete(comes with the Dazzle) and when I play it on my DVD player, it looks great, except when the camera moves fast. It kind blurrs the video. Not pixelized, but kinda choppy. Am I doing something wrong? Does this software just suck? Is it being converted too many times? Any help as to why it blurrs/chops with the movement is greatly appreciated. Thanks, and Happy New Year!

    Search Comp PM
It could be because of inverted fields. I thought I was having encoding issues with my video, but it turns out I had the wrong field being presented first. Search for an option to change which field (bottom or top) is first, and then change it.

If that doesn't work, try using diff software. I use vDub for capture, premiere for editing, tmpeg for encoding, and maestro for authoring.

    Good luck
