  1. I have been successfully capturing MPEG2 videos and converting them to VCD format for several months. I have recently purchased (and installed) an ATI AIW Radeon 8500DV. Bundled with this card is Ulead's Visual Studio SE 6.0. After installing this software, my TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 encoder refuses to recognize any of the MPEG2 files that it was successfully using before the Ulead install.

As near as I can figure, there seems to be a codec problem here, but I don't have any idea how to fix it. I have seen many posts where both Ulead and TMPGEnc seem to be playing nicely together. Anybody have any ideas about how to fix this?

    Many thanks, bigpig

  2. Have you tried re-installing TMPGenc?
Ulead Video studio (not visual) unless you plan on using it should be un-installed. If it appears that the Ulead product is the problem even after you uninstall it, you'll have to clean the registry of most of the refrences to Ulead products. Also be sure to delete any Ulead folders on your hard drive. This is assuming you don't have any other Ulead products installed.
