    Is it possible to convert a vcd (created with Nero) back to mpeg?
    I appreciate I can extract the file from the relevent folder and drag back into Nero to create again, but I want ot create if back into an actual mpeg file.

    Someone else might know the correct way to do this, but what has worked for me is just copying the .dat file and renaming it to .mpg.

  3. Use VCDEasy's .DAT to .MPG option. This will correctly copy the file to your hard drive. If you copy the .DAT file directly from your VCD you will be missing header information that is used for audio and video synchronization.

    well, just as FoxGarrison said:

    which basically means the sound will be ahead of
    time, or just the opposite way.

    Anyway, WHY ON EARTH would someone code a
    dat->mpg program if it were as easy as renaming
    .dat to .mpg ???
