problems with tmpgenc

can someone tell me if there is a way to open up a d2v file and a wav file using tmpgenc and then make them into an avi? my overall goal is to make my vob files into divx, so far i got up to the point were i make them d2v and wav. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

TMPGENC is for making MPEG 1/2 not Divx. Try using virtualdub.

I know you can't make divX with tmpgenc but you can make an AVI file. Go to File-->Output to file-->AVI File
Then you can save it as an .avi file. But its not divx i know, but its the best with TMPGEnc

i dont want to make a divx using tmpgenc, i want to make an avi. but i cant figure out how to open up the d2v and wav files with tmpgenc. how do i open them. i tried using project wizard but in teh end teh output file will become mpeg

nevermind i figured out how to make the avi. now how do i make a divx from the avi using virtualdub?

Why not use gordiansKnot. It will work with d2v files.

Well, actualy it will do it all of for you including ripping the DVD
