I'm having problems encoding in XviD with TMPEnc. Whenever I try to encode anything it seems to automatically add great big black bars to the top and bottom. It doesn't matter what I set the pixel aspect ratio or the display aspect ratio to... the output is the same.
I'm a bit of a newbie at this but not a complete newbie and from what I can tell TMPGEnc just seems to be ignoring all of my XviD settings and doing what it wants.
I don't have this problem when encoding into DivX.
Any suggestions? I'm sure it's something simple.

Are you using Tmpgenc to encode an Xvid,
or using it create an mpeg-2 file from an Xvid ?

Thanks, but that's not really a solution. I want to use TMPGEnc

You haven't outlined your work flow in any detail. What is the resolution of the source? What is the res of
    the output ?
What file type is the source?
What settings did you choose in Tmpgenc ? What version of Tmpgenc ?
What do you expect the result to be?
Normally AVI files are produced 1:1 pixel aspect ratio, correct display aspect ratio when played and without black bars

Tmpgenc's main thing is that it's an Mpeg encoder. The AVI encoding is a bit of an add-on.
However, I've no doubt it works if you use it properly.
