    Is it possible to convert a VCD's DAT back to the source MPEG? And what would I use to do so if it's possible? Thx a million in advance.

    Yes. Two options:
    (1) VCDGear
    (2) CDXA2MPEG (part of VCDImager): you can use VCDImager Tools GUI as a GUI -- http://www.michaeltam.com/vcdimager_tools_gui.html
