  1. I have a problem with ripping it. I got all the vob files cleared of macrovision protection and have vobs on my hard drive. Then I used DVD2AVI - set the doulby digital sound and demux all tracks. Since in the info of the dvd it says it's 29fps and Film 99%, therefore I use for video option Forse Film. Then I save the project.
After that, I use Gordian Knot to convert it into divx 5.02 Pro codex.
The settings I set are the following:
Duration: 1:51:57 Total Number of Frames: 161046
Video size: 601700KB and Average Bitrate: 734Kbit/s
    23.976fps
Audio Size: 104953 Bitrate is 128 VBR 1xTrack
Total Size for muxed should be around 700MB
Input Pixel Aspect Ratio: NTSC anamorphic (16:9)
Crop Before resize: Smart Crop -> 691x360
    Output Rezolution: 448x192
    W-Modul = 32
    H-Modul = 16
    Aspect Ratio: 2.333
    Aspect Error: 0.0

DOES anyone had any problem with ripping this movie?
Cause when I rip into the divx, the filesize is not 700MB but it's 408MB and it plays OK but the total Bitrate is 498Kbps when I play it on my player. Why is it that it's not listening to my input of the bitrate of 734Kbps?
Also when I chose the audio input file, I chose one out of 3 ac3 files created when I first used DVD2AVI to create the project. It gave me
    VTS AC3 T01 2_0ch 192Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3
    VTS AC3 T03 3_1ch 32Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3
    VTS AC3 T04 2_0ch 192Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3
I don't understand the meaning of the 3_1 channel but with 32Kbps? why the bitrate is so low? That's why I used for the sound input:
    VTS AC3 T01 2_0ch 192Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3

But could someone explain why it gave it those 3 files and what are they different from one another?

Did anyone ripped Panic Room DVD into divx (5.02 pro codex)???

  3. I do the smart crop and it gives me 0.0 error chance.
should I go with the 1:1?

  4. I mean, with the settings that I have my divx movies are great. I just don't understand why this time my panic room dvd didn't listen to the video bitrate that I specified? why did it change it to 498kbps?
