Hello,
I just bought a new Canopus ADVC-100 Transcoder and I am backing up a lot of old tapes that aren't of great quality. I was just wondering what would be some good tools to clean up the tapes? Any recommendations of capture programs, to cleaning up plugins would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! and Merry Christmas.

i would recommend using VirtualDub Plugins. experimenting with the different filters and trial and error is the best way to go. the built-in Temporal Smoother filter works wonders on VHS source, but don't over-do it or your video will have a cartoonish fake look to it.
Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.
