cant decode avi file because od mp43 codec

im a newbie...and i have been workin hard on trying to make my first vcd...i tried to convert the movie by using tmpgenc....but when i convert...all i end up with is a black screen and the sound...i think it is because of the mp43 codec...but am not sure....what am i gonna have to do to get this movie to work on a vcd???

Sounds like a Codec issue.....what divx/xvid codecs do you have installed ?

Uninstall any previous codecs or packs( ie ...Nimo) and just get the 2 codecs and then install them.
