hello readers
i have a intel 2, processor speed 400mhz, using windows 98. when i'm changing format from avi to mpg, it takes forever, the last one took me roughly 6 hours for a 55 mins video clip, are there anyway to speed this up? if i bought a new machine would it help, thanks.

400 mhz, boy are u living in bedrock or what?
if it takes a 1500 8hrs to reencode using ddr2100
it'll just take you a lifetime, or ur system locks up,
whichever comes first....
