    I have just started messing up with Encore DVD. I like to see how the apps work, when I have the time. First thing I met is that it lasts forever to load my m2v files.

    Is Encore reencoding my files or something like that? How can I make it stop reencoding?

    I am not 100% sure on this but:

    Yes, it does take a long time to import m2v files. It is not re-encoding them, but rather examining them to ensure that they are compatible with the DVD mpeg 2 standard.

    Not much you can do, but sit back and wait.

    Well, thanks, but I must say it makes me wait pretty much. Doesn't happen with DLP, nor TDA nor GuiforDVDAuthor.
