Looking for a player that can play at least the following trouble-free on my NTSC TV in the US:
mp3, dvd, audio cd, hdcd, cd-r, cd-rw, vcd (ntsc or pal, showing full picture). The vcd's are of camcorder-recorded home movies, that were converted (.avi to .mpg) using TMPGEnc, and then the .mpg files were burned using Nero 5.x to .dat files on 700MB cd-r's.
Can the Panasonic CV51 play all of the above? Which formats, in addition to the above, can the APEX AD-3201 play that the CV51 can't? I can tolerate occasional freezing & mechanical issues, but the audio/video output quality and ability to play different formats are important.
Thanks.

Apex is better than Panasonic as far as XVCDs are considered.
