Encode at 23.976 problem?

Ripped the vob's just fine. Used dvd2avi forced film. Encoded to ntsc film with 3:2 pulldown on playback. After burning the disk the audio was out of sync. Not by much but you could tell that the audio was ahead of the video. Now when I use dvd2avi and don't force film and leave it at 29.97 then encode to ntsc 29.97. Everything is perfect when playing back on dvd player. I would like to use 23.976 because the video looks better and also takes less time to encode. What can I do to solve my problem. Thanks for any help.

If you are using TMPGEnc to encode, you can use Source Range to adjust the audio gap.

1) try a different version of dvd2avi (i've experienced some problems i discovered could be removed by using the latest dvd2avi)

2) if dvd2avi can't solve it, you can try using flaskmpeg/avisynth to frameserve into tmpgenc, instead of dvd2avi (this worked on the 2nd DVD of LOTR extended edition when neither version of dvd2avi i had would get rid of the gradual audio syncing problem)

btw, keep in mind, using the audio skew feature like Tommyknocker mentioned only works if the audio is outta sync by the same amount throughout the movie, if it gradually gets outta sync, then you can't use this method.
