I hooked up my Sony miniDV camcorder thru 1394, Windows Movie Maker sees it, Premiere sees it. So I can capture using those programs. But I am trying to use myDVD and try to use the function of encoding while capturing.
But myDVD doesn't recognize the camera. It keeps saying no capture source. What gives?
Here are my specs:
DVD writer: Sony DRU-500A
Camera: Sony TRV-30 (miniDV) thru 1394
Software that I have: Sonic myDVD, Adobe Premiere 6.5, Nero, RecordNow
Thanks for all help

I have the same problem. I think that myDVD doesn't support the Sony digital camcorders. But how cares, you can import the DV avi file in myDVD.
