I am trying to encode the anime Iria to divx5.0 and I have tried to apply different filters in Vdub to "clean up" the encode. I cannot seem to get rid of the lines in the movie. It is really annoying me. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get rid of those lines or settings in Vdub or another program to get rid of them? Thanks for the help!![]()

have you tried smartdeinterlace in vdub. mess around with the settings and it does a good job.
you may also want to give avisynth a go and use decomb.dll <--works wonders.
avisynth may take some reading up on because it is a little more complicated but well worth taking the time to learn.

Are you ripping it from a dvd? I use DVD2AVI to to encode episodes to DivX. Rip the needed chapters from the dvd, load the VOB files into DVD2AVI and then save as avi
others here like to use Gordian Knot with DivX5, however I have never used it so I cant help you there sorry.
good luckThe Hellsing family will purify this world...
