  1. i ripped a couple backups before and they play fine. but i tried burning some .avi's i downloaded and they will not play in the player. it just says load and it freezes up. its like its not recognizing the disc. the cdrs are the same kind as the vcd that works.

    any ideas

  3. thats what weard it plays other vcds i have created in past just not the new ones. could i be doing something different or wrong?

  4. I know this might be a dumb question, but you said you burned some avi's. Did you convert them to mpeg vcd first?

  5. Something has to be different in your conversion process or maybe you are using differet media for the new stuff??

  6. its the same media. im using the instructions off vcdhelp.com this time. i lost the old instructions that i had good results with and cant find them

    What programs are you using this time, which process from VCDHelp? You get a new burner? I have had too many problems lately with different drivers burning VCDs.

    While on the subject anyone have any ideas as to why a Plextor will not read / write / or re-erase any RW’s after erased or written on other drives…I guess it seems to be picky right now. (Most updates firmware on all burners I use.)
